Attorney Presentation - “Patentability and Patent Prosecution: A Practical Overview of the Patent Prosecution Process in a Changing Legal Landscape"

On Sept. 28, Angela Freeman of the Indianapolis office served as a guest lecturer for the evening IP Survey class at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. In her one-hour presentation entitled “Patentability and Patent Prosecution: A Practical Overview of the Patent Prosecution Process in a Changing Legal Landscape,” Angela discussed practical considerations to obtaining patent eligible subject matter for life sciences and biotech inventions in the wake of the changing legal landscape due to enactment of the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act (AIA), and notable Supreme Court decisions, such as Mayo, Myriad and Alice.
