What’s in a Name: USMCA or NAFTA v 2.0…

On April 16, Christine Sohar Henter of the Washington, D.C., office presented to the National Coil Coating Association and over 150 of its member companies at their 2019 Annual Meeting in Indian Wells, California. The presentation, “What’s in a Name: USMCA or NAFTA v 2.0…” covered the recently signed United States trade agreement called the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) – which replaces NAFTA. The modernizations and modifications most relevant to the coil coating industry were highlighted, along with outlining the status and next steps needed to make the USMCA binding U.S. law. The presentation explained what the industry companies need to know to capitalize on the new rules for regional trade.
