Hot Topics in International Trade: Recent Top Trade Developments

Christine Sohar Henter presented a webinar, “Hot Topics in International Trade: Recent Top Trade Developments.” The webinar was hosted by Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) of Michigan, which is a non-for-profit organization that supports our national security by ensuring a broad base of capable suppliers for the defense industry and other agencies. Christine’s presentation focused on numerous front-page U.S. trade developments that range from Russian sanctions and export restrictions imposed since the Ukrainian invasion to severe supply chain disruptions that are caused by U.S. national security and foreign policy issues. She also discussed trade matters that hit the pocketbook with various tariffs imposed on imports, and the recent deals and regulatory changes that may help an entity select the right trading partners.
