The mass resignation. COVID-19. Remote workers. Rising salaries. Shortage of workers.
Businesses have gone through a major upheaval the past two years. How do we navigate these short-term problems? Businesses that have focused on the core tenets of conscious capitalism are proving to be industry leaders with less focus on rebuilding and more focus on innovation.
Along the same line, investors today are buying stock in companies with a high environmental, social and governance (ESG) rating because these companies have higher returns and lower risk. What is at the core of these trends?
Let’s get together and talk about conscious capitalism, what it is and how to create a conscious culture through conscious leadership, stakeholder orientation, and purpose. There are organizations in our community practicing these principles. Are you working with one of them?
The Conscious Capitalism Credo: We believe that business is good because it creates value, it is ethical because it is based on voluntary exchange, it is noble because it can elevate our existence, and it is heroic because it lifts people out of poverty and creates prosperity. Free enterprise capitalism is the most powerful system for social cooperation and human progress ever conceived. It is one of the most compelling ideas we humans have ever had. And we can aspire to even more.
Come listen to Diane Winn, leadership coach and mentor with Through Eagles Eyes, Inc. who has been working with organizations to develop conscious cultures through consulting and coaching. Janilyn Daub of Barnes & Thornburg will present an employment law update to kick off this program.
