For companies, effectively managing employees continues to be one of the most challenging aspects of doing business. A key factor in business success is managing employee performance and behavior in a fair and legally compliant way. When it is done well, employers can recognize strong contributors, deal with performance issues, and avoid legal challenges. If done with less care, employee claims can be expensive, tarnish company reputation, and create a distraction within the workforce.
This presentation is intended as a refresher for senior leaders and HR professionals, providing an overview of the various employment law issues that can arise in the workplace. Attendees will take away practical tips that employers can use to minimize the risk of claims and to put the company in the best possible position for defending its personnel decisions. The seminar will also identify resources available to help employers navigate through these challenging issues.
Lunch will be provided.
