INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Minority Business Magazine has named Dawn Rosemond, partner and director of diversity, professional development and inclusion at Barnes & Thornburg, a 2018 Champion of Diversity.
Thirteen honorees were selected by a private committee of community leaders and business professionals who were recognized for bringing diverse values, backgrounds and abilities together for the benefit of consumers and employers. This year’s recipients were honored during the 13th annual Champions of Diversity Awards Dinner on Jan. 12 in Indianapolis.
In her role, Rosemond spearheads the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives through deliberate programming and strategic priorities. She leads the charge for cultivating and maintaining an environment that boldly promotes the training, sponsorship, empowerment and promotion of all of the firm’s legal talent regardless of background. She also serves as co-chair of the firmwide Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
“I am honored to be recognized in this regard by Indiana Minority Business Magazine,” Rosemond said. “But I am most proud of what this says about Barnes & Thornburg, as any celebration of me in this regard cannot be separated from the firm’s bold commitment to affect real change.”
Rosemond is also a litigator in the firm’s Fort Wayne office. She has been with Barnes & Thornburg for more than 20 years, joining as an associate in 1996. She has been a partner since 2005 and was named director of diversity, professional development and inclusion in 2016.
