INDIANAPOLIS – Global agricultural company executives, U.S. government representatives and ag and food general counsels will discuss important technology and trade issues related to the agriculture and food sectors during Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s 2019 Planting the Seed Ag and Food Conference: Tech and Trade on May 16.
Susanne Wasson, president of Crop Protection Business Platform at Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™, will kick off the annual conference as keynote speaker. Ted McKinney, Under Secretary of Agriculture for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and former director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, will participate in the closing panel presentation on tariffs and their impact on the ag and food industries.
Other sessions include a general counsel panel discussion on technology and trade issues and a session on the future of food and its intersection with technology.
