I AM...
- Grand Rapids, Michigan, born and raised
- The father of two middle-school age daughters born a year and six weeks apart
- Married to a girl named Branden
- A master scuba diver and volunteer diver at the local Grand Rapids John Ball Zoo (where I have been assaulted by more penguins than I care to admit)
- The owner of a motor home affectionately referred to as “The Bouncing Box of Death,” which transports my family to various national parks each summer (not involving a global pandemic)
- A lifelong Michigan State Spartan who, while working for the athletic department, wrote portions of the 1995 football media guide and bartended for Magic Johnson
- A labor law nerd who reads labor updates in his free time
- A curious explorer by nature who never met a mountain or body of water that did not make me wonder what was on the other side or hidden within
- The owner of a Bullmastiff/Great Dane mix (named Ali) that was rescued after being discovered under the desk of one of my client’s employees
- Raised by a single mother who fought to make sure her three sons all went to college despite not having gone herself (though she eventually got her master’s degree the year I got my law degree)
