Spotlights

Kristin Giddings: I Am Barnes & Thornburg

I AM...

  • Above all else, a follower of Christ
  • A wife to my unbelievably silly and thoughtful husband
  • The daughter of a fire chief and former nurse, and sister and wife to medical sales reps – I joke that I’m the black sheep of the family since I’m not in the medical field
  • Exceedingly proud of my family – they’re some of the hardest workers I know and have overcome so much
  • Proud to have been raised in Saint Augustine, Florida – the oldest continuously occupied city in the U.S.
  • Missing the sunshine of Florida living in Ohio, but visit my family in Florida multiple times a year to cope
  • An advocate of adoption, foster care and prison reform
  • A big believer that finding community in church is crucial – my friends from church have carried me through some of my lowest points
  • Part Puerto Rican through my grandfather – I love learning more about my heritage and we’re planning to visit for the third time this summer
  • Someone who’s favorite activity is thrifting – going to yard sales, antique malls and flea markets

This profile appeared in the April 2023 edition of I Am Barnes & Thornburg.
