LuAnn handles the prosecution of U.S. and foreign patents and trademarks, as well as U.S. copyrights for attorneys in the IP Department. She is responsible for researching U.S. and foreign patent, trademark and copyright databases; due diligence research; preparing substantive Patent and Trademark Office filings; electronic filing of patent and trademark documents; receiving, reviewing and docketing correspondence; ensuring accuracy of documents and preparing corrective paperwork when necessary; generating substantive correspondence; monitoring docket deadlines and taking appropriate action to guarantee that deadlines are met; and ensuring proper docketing of files.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, LuAnn worked as a paralegal for Bryan Cave LLP in Atlanta and Thompson Coburn LLP in St. Louis.
