Clients rely on Matt to manage disputes in nearly all stages of product liability litigation. Matt is actively involved in deposition practice, including taking, defending and preparing deponents for party, fact witness, expert witness and Rule 30(b)(6) depositions. He also regularly drafts and argues civil motions, including complex dispositive motions, and has obtained numerous summary judgments, favorable resolutions and dismissals for his clients.
Matt’s varied litigation experience has included lawsuits in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts in matters involving alleged malpractice of licensed professionals, such as claims against attorneys, real estate agents and brokers, architects and engineers. He has also handled complex construction and commercial litigation matters including claims of construction defects, construction accidents, wrongful death, payment disputes and OSHA investigations.
Additionally, Matt has experience with claims of employment discrimination, retaliation and whistleblower actions and has defended corporations, business owners and insurers against consumer protection claims alleging unfair and deceptive acts and practices, as well as for alleged violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
During law school, Matt also gained valuable experience as a law clerk for one of the nation’s largest insurance providers supporting its trial counsel to defend personal injury, homeowners and subrogation claims. He also acted as a law clerk for an independent broker-dealer assisting in the mediation and arbitration of consumer complaints, including matters before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
