Bruce is well-versed in various phases of IP litigation, including pre-suit analysis and strategy, invalidity analysis, fact and expert discovery, claim construction and summary judgment. In both patent and trademark disputes, his experience extends not only to issues of liability but also to damages.
Bruce’s patent litigation work spans many industries, including medical devices, renewable chemical intermediates, lithium ion batteries, automotive technology, software, pharmaceuticals, food packaging, and agricultural equipment. He also has significant experience in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has represented clients in trademark litigation cases.
Additionally, Bruce regularly counsels clients on false advertising law, including matters before the National Advertising Division of the BBB National Programs, Inc. and compliance with Federal Trade Commission guidance and regulations.
Bruce also has an active pro bono practice and represents clients across a variety of matters, with a focus on immigration matters. He has prepared and argued a successful asylum case for a detained individual fleeing life-threatening political persecution and has represented numerous families in Afghanistan seeking Special Immigrant Visas or other immigration relief in recognition of their service to the United States.
