Bobby represents a number of corporate and individual clients in matters relating to U.S. and foreign patents and trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, software protection, licensing and enforcement of intellectual property rights. Bobby's practice includes obtaining patents, registering trademarks and copyrights, counseling clients, rendering opinions, preparing license agreements, and litigating patent, trademark and copyright matters. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the Patent Law area.
Bobby is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and several courts in Indiana and Washington, D.C.
Bobby attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he received a B.S. in electrical engineering in 1973. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received an M.S. in technology and policy in 1980. Bobby received his J.D. in 1983 from Boston College Law School. He worked as an engineer for United States Steel Corporation prior to returning to graduate school and law school. Bobby joined Barnes & Thornburg's Washington office in 1983 and moved to the Fort Wayne office in 1986. He became a partner in the firm in 1991.
