Jordan’s practice encompasses a broad range of white-collar criminal matters, including investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, and state attorneys general. He also frequently represents healthcare systems and facilities in investigations conducted by the U.S. Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General and state agencies such as the Indiana Attorney General’s Office.
Known for his strategic approach, Jordan is adept at managing grand jury subpoenas, multijurisdictional matters, and parallel civil litigation. His experience in complex legal landscapes – whether handling government investigations, regulatory enforcement, or internal inquiries – ensures clients receive comprehensive, risk-mitigating counsel tailored to their specific needs.
Jordan served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Indiana, where he led numerous investigations and prosecutions. He handled a variety of criminal offenses, from narcotics trafficking to violent crimes, and gained significant courtroom experience, including detention, sentencing, and suppression hearings in district court, and appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Jordan’s unique blend of experience, from federal prosecution to defense work, gives him the insight to anticipate and respond to government tactics. His commitment to delivering favorable outcomes, whether through negotiation or trial, underscores his reputation as a versatile advocate for his clients.
While earning his undergraduate degree, Jordan served as an Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in Camp Pendleton, California, and Washington, D.C. As a drill instructor, he prepared fellow Marines for funerals, parades, and other ceremonies, and conducted over 400 missions at Arlington National Cemetery. He also managed field operations and led fire teams during situational training exercises in preparation for combat.
