Lauren is often chosen by her colleagues as a go-to for a range of commercial litigation, product liability and e-discovery matters, as she provides leadership in coordinating virtually all aspects of those representations including managing complex discovery and litigation strategy. She works alongside her clients to help determine the best legal path forward when a dispute arises, whether through mediation, another alternative resolution or litigation.
In addition, Lauren’s practice includes advising and guiding higher education clients in various matters and issues that arise involving fraternities and sororities.
Lauren originally joined Barnes & Thornburg after earning her J.D. and worked on a wide variety of business litigation matters; she subsequently served a two yearlong clerkship with the Honorable Elizabeth F. Tavitas of the Indiana Court of Appeals before returning to the firm.
During law school, she was an intern for the Honorable Terry Wooten, chief district judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, and a law clerk for the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
Notably, through the Notre Dame Seventh Circuit externship program, in her third year of law school, Lauren argued a habeas corpus case before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Lauren values connection and giving back and spends time outside of her practice volunteering with a number of collegiate, law school and community organizations.
