Randy represents taxpayers in audit and administrative proceedings before the Internal Revenue Service and state/local tax authorities, and in appeals before federal and state courts, including the United States and Indiana Tax Courts. His tax practice includes a wide array of substantive areas, including income taxes, estate taxes, employment taxes, excise taxes, sales/use taxes and property taxes.
Randy is experienced in structuring entity formations and reorganizations; in planning partnership, limited liability company and S corporation transactions; and in drafting complex and limited liability company agreements. In addition, he counsels high net worth families and family offices concerning issues of family governance, family office formation and operations, and regarding tax efficient succession planning and transfers of wealth to younger generations.
Notably, Randy offers tax experience in the major disciplines of a tax practice. He thrives under the intellectual challenge of applying esoteric tax law to inform client’s everyday decisions. Randy is valued by clients and colleagues alike for his commitment to responsiveness and practicality. He focuses on providing clear answers to the questions his clients ask and actionable solutions to the challenges they face.
He was born and raised in Wabash, Indiana, and is married with three children.
