Jen’s background combines extensive in-house counseling and direct litigation experience with a solutions-focused style to deliver on strategic and creative problem-solving. Clients appreciate Jen’s responsiveness and her ability to calmly navigate complicated and sensitive situations.
Jen counsels employers on a wide variety of issues, from situations involving individual employees to investigations, audits, and defense of administrative claims. She advises clients on how to address issues related to employees during many phases of the employment relationship, from recruitment to termination, including wage and hour laws, disability accommodations, sick leave requirements, disciplinary actions, and executive agreements. She also helps employers update and refine HR policies. Jen has experience handling virtually all aspects of employment law for M&A transactions from diligence to integration.
Prior to joining the firm, Jen was a senior attorney at a Minneapolis-based law firm and spent many years as in-house employment counsel for a large, multistate employer.
Her experience as an in-house attorney provides Jen the insight to be keenly aware of the real-world support needed by employers.
