Mackenzie assists clients in virtually all stages of litigation by drafting briefs, conducting discovery, and researching legal questions. She is a dedicated advocate who has represented clients in white collar criminal defense, the healthcare industry, and commercial and general litigation disputes.
Mackenzie is skilled at working directly with clients, having been third-chair at trial and conferring with clients and with experts and witnesses.
Prior to joining the firm, Mackenzie was an associate at a Nashville-based law firm and practiced in the areas of general commercial litigation, managed care litigation, and white collar defense.
During law school, Mackenzie served as an extern at the Federal Defender Services of Eastern Tennessee. She also received awards for excellence in legal process, access to justice, trial practice, a racial justice listening project, contract drafting, healthcare fraud and abuse, an employment litigation practicum, and recognition during her legal externship.
