When assessing new business and projects for current clients, Lisa brings her experience, attention to detail and critical thinking skills, from her time in risk management and in law firms to the forefront to managing issues that could arise for the firm and its attorneys. Namely, she addresses virtually all types of conflicts-related issues, from reviewing conflicts and evaluating related questions or concerns to assisting with securing consent from attorneys and clients. She also helps draft engagement letters.
In addition, Lisa assists with developing and updating conflicts policies and procedures.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Lisa was a lead conflicts analyst for an accounting and consulting firm, where, among other responsibilities, she performed risk assessment and led new hire and ongoing education and development trainings.
Lisa took a year off between undergrad and law school to work as a paralegal. It was there that she honed her writing and communication skills, which cemented her decision to become an attorney.
