Roger W. Benko is retired of counsel in the South Bend, Indiana, office of Barnes & Thornburg. He practiced in the firm's Labor and Employment Law Department. His practice covered a full spectrum of labor and employment-related issues from traditional labor law matters such as management representation in union certification and decertification campaigns, contract negotiations, arbitrations, and unfair labor practices to employment personnel matters such as employee handbooks, personnel policies, work rules, and employee termination issues. He also represented clients in the continually expanding area of federal and state discrimination law and wrongful discharge claims.
Roger has spoken to personnel associations as well as to continuing legal education programs on various aspects of labor and employment law.
Roger joined Barnes & Thornburg in 1972 and served as a partner from 1977 until his retirement.
