Maya Grassi has more than 15 years of experience counseling nonprofit organizations, including associations, public charities, and foundations, in transactional matters. Maya is a problem-solver who provides a well-rounded business perspective that stems from a combination of in-house and law firm experience.

Maya has worked in-house and in private practice and understands the unique legal needs of nonprofit entities. She is committed to helping these organizations achieve their missions.

Maya advises clients on a wide range of matters, including contracts, tax, governance, political law, and grants. Her goal is to provide realistic solutions that balance risk mitigation with business objectives. 

Notably, Maya has deep experience in contract matters. She regularly negotiates and drafts agreements and oversees contract management processes. Her versatility allows her to grasp the nuances of each commercial contract, meeting and event agreement, and license agreement.

Maya also advises nonprofit organizations on matters related to programs and operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. She is skilled in providing counsel on state laws related to board governance and reviewing and revising board reports and related documents.
