Should You 'Like' This? Ethics of Social Media Postings and Comments
DATE
As technology continues to evolve, lawyers need to stay competent in technology advances and how such advances implicate the Rules of Professional Conduct, particularly with regard to social media. For instance, while non-lawyers have the liberty to post anything they want on social media, lawyers are bound by the Rules of Professional Conduct in all of their actions and posts, whether personal or professional.
This webinar will explore the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct regarding posting, commenting, tweeting, and replying to negative reviews on social media. Hear about actual instances of lawyers who have gone astray on social media and tips so you can stay ethical while engaging in social media.
Do not allow one ill-advised social media post, tweet, or comment put you at the receiving end of a disciplinary complaint. The key to staying compliant is to become familiar with technology and your ethical obligations.
