Following the May 2024 House v. NCAA settlement, the college athletics industry will see seismic shifts with wide-ranging implications and emerging legal challenges.

Dan Cohen of Barnes & Thornburg will be giving three presentations at the NACDA 2024 Convention June 10-12 about the Title IX implications of revenue sharing; evolving name, image and likeness (NIL) markets, including bringing NIL functions on campus; and potential employment status for NCAA student-athletes. John Koenig will present on student-athletes as employees at the NACUA 2024 Annual Conference on June 27. Chris Bayh and other attorneys in Barnes & Thornburg’s Colleges and Universities and University and Professional Athletics groups will also be at NACDA and NACUA to answer questions from athletics administrators and campus counsel.
