- The first in my extended family to have earned an advanced degree, and the first attorney
- A hopeless automotive aficionado, with a particular affinity for older Chevrolet Corvette roadsters
- Afflicted with a case of wanderlust, having visited 13 countries scattered across three continents
- The grateful beneficiary and product of multiple mentorship and educational/professional enrichment programs, beginning at an early age
- A former member of the Santa Monica High School cross-country team turned hiker who enjoys wandering the Santa Monica Mountains
- Still in regular contact with a group of international friends I made while studying abroad in Sweden and Denmark in 2011 and 2015 respectively
- A member of a loyal University of California family, with my two younger sisters and I each earning our degrees from the UC system
- Fortunate to have retained my native fluency in Spanish
