Daihana drafts briefs, motions and memorandum and performs research on a range of legal issues. She also helps manage cases and develop litigation strategy.
As a result of her judicial clerkship experience, Daihana has a deep understanding of the litigation process. As a judicial law clerk, she conducted legal research, drafted orders and bench memos with a recommendation to a three-judge panel, and prepared drafted opinions.
During law school, Daihana gained experience as a legal intern at the American Bar Association’s Office of the General Counsel and at the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF). She also was a legal intern for the National Immigrant Justice Center, where she, under attorney supervision, won an asylum immigration case and helped her client get released from a detention center. Additionally, she was a judicial extern for the Honorable Maritza Martinez of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
