Dana’s client work requires her to organize and prioritize matters while working efficiently toward getting answers for her clients, no matter how ambiguous the situation. She enjoys finding creative solutions to difficult problems and is dedicated to delivering those solutions in a practical and cost-effective manner.
Her trial and appellate experience enables her to counsel a range of clients effectively on calculated business and legal risks from start-to-finish. Some representative matters include successfully appealing a federal district court decision finding willful false advertising in a national ad campaign for a consumer product, defending a multinational manufacturer in products liability litigation across six jurisdictions, and securing a $13,000,000 summary judgment award in a consumer product warranty case.
She continues to be a thought leader through frequent publications in the legal press and through her involvement in the community.
Prior to joining the firm full-time, Dana was a summer associate in the Chicago office. In addition to her time at Barnes & Thornburg, she gained valuable experience as an intern with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, representing clients in juvenile court for the Bluhm Legal Clinic Children and Family Justice Center, and as an extern for the Honorable Harry Leinenweber of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
