A strong communicator and writer, Kathryn prepares motions and facilitates class actions arising from disputes, routinely attending and appearing for hearings. She drafts responsive pleadings, prepares proposed orders, and issues and responds to written discovery.
Prior to joining the firm, Kathryn was an associate with another Chicago-based firm, where she gained a range of litigation skills. In that role, she took and defended depositions, prepared dispositive motions, and routinely appeared for hearings in state courts on behalf of clients.
During law school, Kathryn was a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Daniel J. Kubasiak of the Circuit Court of Cook County, where she assisted in researching and drafting opinions and observed various stages of trial, from jury selection to direct and cross-examination. She also worked as a certified mediator through the Notre Dame Applied Mediation Clinic, conducting court-ordered mediations in Indiana and Michigan. Primarily, she facilitated formal agreements in family law disputes.
