Steve’s IP practice encompasses patent prosecution, diligence, counseling, licensing, dispute resolution, and complex patent infringement litigation. He has deep subject matter knowledge in consumer products, automotive components, energy generation and transmission, energy management, medical devices, power tools, lawn and garden equipment, commercial restaurant equipment, food processing equipment, and construction, transportation, nuclear power, and industrial equipment.

With substantial experience in virtually all phases of U.S. and international patent prosecution, Steve applies a holistic approach to portfolio development, patent enforcement and product development strategy. His experience includes invention harvesting, application drafting, responding to office actions, appeals, and post-issuance proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and international authorities. He also handles trademark portfolio maintenance and enforcement.

Fluent in German, Steve has deep experience in advising European clients. He frequently presents on patent and licensing topics to clients and legal professionals.
