Tyler assists clients at each stage of development by drafting documents for corporations and limited liability companies, including organizational documents, board and shareholder resolutions, stock purchase agreements, and confidentiality agreements. He also conducts legal due diligence in the course of M&A transactions.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg full-time, Tyler served as a summer associate in the firm’s Indianapolis office for two summers. He drafted agreements and undertook legal research on various issues such as U.S. securities law, financial regulations, the Uniform Commercial Code, the Indiana Business Corporation Law, and the Delaware General Corporations Law.
During law school, Tyler also earned his MBA and gained experience as a legal extern for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), where he analyzed administrative law statutes relating to economic development initiatives and programs, reviewed contracts and leases for compliance related issues, and assisted the IEDC in complying with the Indiana’s Open Door Law and the Access to Public Records Act. Tyler also participated in the Elmore Entrepreneurship Law Clinic helping new high-growth potential ventures become more operational and sustainable.
