Matt has an eclectic corporate, finance and entertainment practice with a focus on production finance, venture lending, debt finance, and intellectual property. Outside of the entertainment industry, he also helps clients navigate through corporate governance, finance and securities matters.
Matt is known as a reliable corporate adviser, offering his clients thoughtful analysis, attention to detail and knowledgeable guidance on a wide range of corporate issues, including entity formation, corporate restructuring and debt financing.
Additionally, lender- and borrower-side clients rely on Matt's broad experience with production finance transactions, and can count on Matt for his teamwork approach and easy-going attitude to help bring their projects to life.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Matt worked with a Los Angeles-based firm in its mergers and acquisitions practice group.
Before pursuing his law degree, Matt, who studied music education and saxophone performance in college, spent two years as a high school band and choir director in Virginia, directing and arranging music for the marching band, concert band, and concert choir.
In his free time, Matt enjoys playing soccer and watching his favorite soccer team, Manchester United.
