Chloé focuses her practice on IP strategy, and more particularly, patent prosecution and counseling in the fields of computer science, software, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, modeling, cryptocurrency and blockchain, cybersecurity, mobile devices, smart home, Internet of Things (IoT), mechanical devices, electrical technology, medical devices, and other computer hardware and technology.
She has provided IP strategy and patent prosecution services to a variety of clients, from startups to Fortune 50 companies, for both offensive and defensive purposes. Chloé has applied her skills and background in computer science and computer modeling to different industries, including but not limited to medical, food safety, supply chain, logistics, cybersecurity, blockchain, mechanical, and other general technologies. As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), she also counsels clients on data privacy issues.
Chloé has studied the intersection of big data and law, with her scholarship being published in several international journals. Chloé’s undergraduate thesis on the application of big data analytics to patent litigation was published in the Journal of the Patent and Trademark Office Society.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Chloé was a patent attorney at an IP law firm. While in law school, Chloé clerked at the IP law firm as well as the Minnesota House of Representatives, where she assisted in research and drafting of bills.
Chloé is currently only admitted to practice law in the state of Minnesota.
