OVERVIEW

Driven and adaptable, Hendricks Valenzuela dives in to help clients with sophisticated international trade law and regulatory compliance matters. Hendricks’ work spans a range of industries, including aquaculture, chemicals, wood products, and metals, where he helps clients understand and comply with evolving trade regulations.

Calling upon his experience as a senior attorney in the Office of the Chief Counsel for Trade Enforcement and Compliance at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Hendricks advises clients on legal matters arising in administrative agency proceedings and the regulatory rulemaking process. He has  deep knowledge of trade remedies law, non-market economy methodologies, and countervailing subsidy analysis and is skilled in drafting briefs, motions, and remand comments in a range of litigation proceedings.

Hendricks also has experience litigating disputes before domestic and international tribunals, including the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) binational panels, and World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute resolution proceedings.

In addition to his litigation and regulatory work, Hendricks has played a key role in shaping trade enforcement policies through his involvement in high-profile regulatory initiatives. His experience in administrative proceedings, combined with his strong analytical approach, allows him to effectively advocate for clients in complex trade matters.
