The first wave of insurance claims relating to the COVID-19 pandemic were filed one year ago. Since then, business interruption claims have grabbed most of the headlines, but liability claims can be at least as important for some policyholders. Please join our national panel of Barnes & Thornburg attorneys as they update us on the latest developments in the law on insurance coverage for COVID-19 losses, including:
- Business interruption claims: which jurisdictions have produced favorable rulings, how those rulings may be influenced by differences in policy language or in claim facts, and which policyholders can apply these lessons going forward
- Liability claims: what types of liability claims policyholders have faced, which insurance policies may potentially respond, and how policyholders can try to maximize coverage
- Time limitations: which insurance policies include limitations periods for making claims or suing insurers, what are typical time limits, and how can policyholders try to extend these deadlines?
This will be an interactive discussion, and you may ask questions during the Q&A or submit them when you register.
