Connie Lahn Selected as Diversity and Inclusion Award Honoree by Minnesota Lawyer

MINNEAPOLIS – Barnes & Thornburg’s Minneapolis office managing partner, Connie Lahn, has been selected as one of Minnesota Lawyer’s Diversity and Inclusion honorees for 2021. The award honors individuals and groups that have made a significant impact with respect to diversity and inclusion in the community and within their organizations.

In 2020, Lahn was appointed president of Barnes & Thornburg’s Racial and Social Justice Foundation and was instrumental in establishing the foundation; she still serves as president. In its first year, the foundation raised $200,000, which was granted to four organizations that focus on promoting, advocating, and effecting racial and social justice. Lahn also champions the Exploring Pathways to Leadership event, an annual Minneapolis program consisting of networking and a female keynote speaker.

Lahn is involved in several organizations committed to providing opportunities for women and diverse members of the Minneapolis community. She currently serves on the advisory board for Minnesota Women Lawyers (MWL) and on the leadership counsel of Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDiP). Lahn is a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy (ACB) and has been appointed a commissioner on the diversity and equity committee

This recognition follows Minnesota Lawyer’s recognition of Autumn Gear as an Up & Coming Attorney earlier this month.

Lahn and the other Diversity and Inclusion Award honorees will be recognized in the Minnesota Lawyer’s Diversity and Inclusion magazine and were honored at a reception and awards event on Oct. 7.
