In addition, she represents clients' interests in adversarial proceedings in U.S. courts, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and other U.S. and international tribunals.
With more than a decade of experience, Michelle also counsels clients in complex licensing matters; high-stakes domain name disputes and acquisitions; advertising clearance and claim substantiation matters; trademark and copyright audits; and brand promotion and protection in social media and online spaces.
Michelle represents clients ranging in size from emerging startup companies to large corporations. She has represented clients in a variety of industries, such as e-commerce and Internet-related business; travel-related services; consumer goods; hotel management services; film licensing; motion picture and merchandising; aerospace and defense; banking and finance; pharmaceuticals; food-processing equipment; airport ground support equipment; restaurants; hospital and healthcare services; and cellular and other communications equipment.
Michelle has been included on the Super Lawyers magazine 'Super Lawyers' list in Illinois and Washington, D.C. She is a member of the International Trademark Association's Famous and Well-known Marks Committee and is active in the Washington, D.C., and Illinois legal communities.
After graduating from Georgetown University with a B.A., cum laude, in 2003, Michelle earned her J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 2006.
