Attorney Presentation - "Congressional Briefing: Flying While Arab, Muslim, Sikh, Italian Economist Doing Math"

On June 28, Eddie Ayoob of the Washington, D.C., office spoke at a Congressional briefing, "Flying While Arab, Muslim, Sikh, Italian Economist Doing Math" sponsored by the Arab American Institute to discuss the increase in cases of airline passenger profiling and discrimination. Eddie is a member of the Arab American Institute's board of directors. The panel also included representatives of the American Muslim and Sikh communities, and was designed to raise awareness for members of Congress, their staff and the media about the unfortunate increase in racial, religious and ethnic profiling of airline passengers and what adversely affected communities can do through legal, political and public relations channels to protect themselves and ultimately improve conditions.
