Barnes & Thornburg Welcomes New Attorneys

Barnes & Thornburg has added new corporate and real estate attorneys to its Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and Washington, D.C., offices.

Travis Glassley, an associate in the Fort Wayne office, demonstrates a commitment to his clients by helping to meet their needs in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, and guardianships. His work allows him to give individuals and their families a sense of relief and security in times of crisis and peace of mind knowing their finances and assets are properly accounted for.

Travis regularly advises clients regarding wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, and the probate administration process, always striving to meet their individual and family needs and goals.

He earned his J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2016 and his B.A. in political science and history from Indiana University in 2013.

As an associate in the Indianapolis office and a former in-house counsel, Daniel Harting strives to see the big picture of his client’s business and legal needs. He takes into account the business advantages, impacts and risks of various real estate transactions on his clients’ bottom line and advises accordingly.

Daniel utilizes the knowledge he gained in-house with a commercial real estate services firm to draft and negotiate a wide range of real estate contracts, including commercial leases, land leases, purchase agreements, and easements. That experience allows him to advise clients beyond the transaction itself, also addressing compliance, corporate governance, and labor and employment issues that clients may encounter.

He earned his J.D. from University of Notre Dame Law School in 2017, his M.A. in teaching from Marian University in 2014, and his B.A. in English from Indiana University.

Kristen McCannon, an associate in the Washington, D.C., office, has a comprehensive understanding of U.S. trade policy and the regulatory process, having worked in both the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.

Kristen focuses her practice on representing and defending clients in antidumping and countervailing duty matters before the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) and other federal agencies. She also advises clients regarding customs, export controls and sanctions.

She earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2016 and her B.A. in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations and South Asian Studies from University of Toronto, Victoria University in 2012.

With more than 600 attorneys and other legal professionals, Barnes & Thornburg is one of the largest law firms in the country. The firm serves clients worldwide from 14 offices in Atlanta, California, Chicago, Delaware, Indiana, Michigan, Minneapolis, Ohio, Texas and Washington, D.C.
