The American Bar Association Tax Section’s 2023 Virtual Fall Tax Meeting

Jennifer Mendel presented on behalf of the Estate & Gift Tax Committee at the American Bar Association Tax Section’s 2023 Virtual Fall Tax Meeting. The presentation, “It Pays to Pay Attention – Understanding Transfer Tax Apportionment,” provided an overview of the federal and state transfer apportionment statutes, practical approaches to drafting apportionment provisions and select state apportionment issues.
